BestMed Madibaz Ambre Nakas and Levert Pieterse represented Eastern Province Athletics at the South African Junior Championships which took place in Cape Town at Green Point Stadium on the 7th and 8th of April 2017, and each brought home medals. Ambre Nakas took bronze in the junior womens triple jump and Levert Pieterse took silver in the junior mens 110m hurdles. Other BestMed Madibaz athletes which participated include, Saskia Wait, Remano Felix, Anneke Kapp, Chante Roberson, Logan Holmes, Tiaan Lange, Tiaan Van Tonder and Faure Lombard. Mr Thando Loliwe was the team manager and Mr Garth Ellis was the team coach. 

BestMed Madibaz Ischke Senekal, Zanri Strydom, Garth Ellis, Maruska Janse van Rensburg, Marianio Essou, Cherise Sims, Luxolo Adams, Megan Dempster, Divan Manuel, Lizhare Botha, Kelly Kingwill, Anita Madike and Jeanie Van Dyk, represented Eastern Province Athletics at the South African Senior Championships held at NWU PUK McArthur Stadium in Potchefstroom from the 20 - 22 April 2017. Ischke Senekal brought home two gold medals, for shot put and discus throw. Kelly Kingwill and Cherise Sims both won gold medals, for triple jump and 3000m steeplechase respectively. Jeanie Van Dyk took silver in pole vaulting and Garth Ellis took silver in the high jump. Miss Annica Coetzee was the team manager and Mr Gerrie Posthumus was the team coach.
